Once you end the Safety Check safely, meetup-data collection for that session stops. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or build an advertising profile from it.

If an actual safety alert is triggered, information needed to respond to and document that safety incident may be retained for safety, security, or legal purposes.

We only collect meetup information while your Safety Check is active.

Once your Safety Check ends safely, we stop collecting meetup information for that session. We do not use your meetup information for advertising, profiling, or selling your data.

When you arrive

Wi-Fi & Bluetooth

Wi-Fi: If a network looks unfamiliar or asks for unusual information, use your mobile data instead.

Bluetooth: Keep it off when you are not using it. Do not accept unexpected pairing requests.

These are simple safety reminders. WHO? does not identify nearby people from Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

When you arrive

Wi-Fi: Prefer your cellular connection if a public Wi-Fi network looks unfamiliar or unsecured.

Bluetooth: Keep Bluetooth off when you are not using it.

My Way Home: Keep your own ride or route home available so leaving does not depend on the person you are meeting.
